Sleeping Apart, 2019
in collaboration with Adam Giroux

Sleeping Apart is a collaborative art installation examining the impact of modern technology on the challenge of distance within intimate relationships. The halves of the bed exist in their own space, definitively separate, but connected under one blanket draped across both halves, spanning the gap to unite them in a shared experience. When physical distance exists between two individuals , what mechanisms can bring them together? What does it mean to be alone when memories and experiences can be forged from continents away?
